Driving traffic to your website becomes much easier when you use Instagram link stickers to include a link to your website in your Instagram Story.

Instagram has, for a long time, restricted who has the ability to use hyperlinks in their Instagram Stories. However, this year, they decided to remove all restrictions, enabling anybody to use them in their stories. You no longer need to have a business or creator account, nor are you required to be verified, nor are you required to have over 10,000 followers.

Instagram announced in August 2021 that it would be discontinuing the swipe-up feature. No one was aware of the reasons for this. However, there was speculation that Instagram may have hidden intentions to move stories vertically, similar to TikTok, rather than horizontally. Regardless of the outcome, all Instagram users may now include links in their stories by adding a link sticker.

How to Add a Link to Your Instagram Story

Instagram’s “Link” sticker feature completely replaces the swipe-up tool, which was how users previously linked to external webpages from stories.

A link can be added anywhere to a story. Here’s how we do it.

1. Launch the most recent version of the Instagram mobile app.

2. Tap the “Stories” camera at the top of your screen.

3. Use the app to take a photo or video, or select one from your camera roll.

4. Head to the “Instagram Stories” sticker tray icon.

5. Scroll until you see the “Link” sticker. Select it.

6. You’ll be given the option to either enter or paste a URL.

7. You’ll be able to reposition your link sticker by dragging or resizing it with a pinch.

8. You can also choose different colors.

9. Tap Done

Just like that and you are done? And that’s it!

When the sticker is shown, the website’s name will be displayed. For instance, sharing this article would result in a bubble that reads “Alltechdiary.com.” As with many other stickers, you can move it across the screen by dragging it, resize it by pinching in or out, and alter the style color with a press. For the time being, each story post can only contain one link.
