First is to scroll to the conversation chat you want to archive, long-press on it, and choose Archive in the pop-up that appears.
The second method is to locate and swipe from right to left on the chat then wait a bit until Archive appears; leaving it at this stage will archive that particular chat session.
How to hide WhatsApp chats on Android
On Android, the process to hide chat messages using the archive feature is similar to the above method used in iPhone, that is long-press on the chat and choose Archive in the pop-up that appears.
Restoring your chat from archive works the same way on both android and iPhone, go to archived messages, placed at the top of the chat list of your WhatsApp chat list, long-press the chat you want to restore and choose unarchive.
