On Monday WhatsApp rolled out an update for its Android app with new privacy settings to devices running Android v2.1 and higher.
This update has an additional option to hide the ‘last seen at’ Timestamp, profile photo and status through privacy settings. To get this update users shall need to install the latest WhatsApp which is (2.11.186) available at Google Play Store.

Hiding your ‘last seen at’ timestamp, you will also be unable see others’. It wont hide the “online” timestamp. This will still show others that you are online if you are using WhatsApp at a moment.

Others Important updates are:

  • Option to share or save profile photo
  • Service payment feature, which let users pay for their friends’ WhatsApp service.
  • Option to show unread messages on the home screen widget for devices running Android 3.0 and higher.

Others are camera shortcut for quicker picture sending, large video thumbnails in chat window and an option to increase the message history a user can send.
