How To Track Your Lost Android Device With Google’s Android Device Manager

Google Play Store has few phone recovery or/and anti-theft apps which can be a lifesaver in case you lost your phone. Unfortunately most of us realize that there are such important apps when our precious devices got lost or stolen. That way, it’s usually too late and we have to face the horrible truth that the phone is gone for good.

What you need:

  1. Your device must be connected with your Google account.
  2. Your device must have Internet access.
  3. Android Device Manager (ADM) must be allowed to locate your device (this setting is turned on by default). It can be changed in the Google Settings app in your phone.
  4. Android Device Manager must be allowed to lock your device and erase its data (this setting is turned off by default).

After fulfilling the above requirements, use your computer or a mobile phone and login to Android Device Manager here! (Use your Gmail logging credentials)

You may use someone else’s Android phone to perform the task. As an alternative of using the mobile browser, you can also use the Android Device Manager app which you can download it here. You can sign in using the guest mode and your Google account credentials.
