My top 5 Free Android Apps this Week!

Android apps  are mobile software designed for running on the Android operating system, which is one of the most popular platforms used in cellphones, tablets and other mobile devices. Apps are the best part when it comes to android.
Free Android Apps are available for download  in the famous Google Play—the online store hosted by Google—but not all are free.  April this 2013 Google proudly announced about 48 billion android apps downloaded. To help you get the best of the Free Android Apps, I have sorted 5 of them from different categories and listed them here with clear and brief descriptions of each application item.

1. Facebook Home App

Currently Facebook is the world’s largest social network, so it’s no surprise that the new Facebook Home app was the most popular Android app last week. We tested out the app and found it had promise, but the coolest featured called Chat Heads is available in the stand alone Facebook Messenger app. Facebook Home is only supposed on a handful of devices, but MoDaCo has instructions if you want to side-load it on another device.

Facebook Home puts your friends on top of everything else in your phone. It replace your standard home screen with a steady stream of friends’ posts and photos. Get to apps with one swipe—just drag your profile picture up to open the app launcher. And when you download Facebook Messenger, you can keep chatting with friends when you’re using other apps.

To enjoy full features of this app you will need to install both Facebook Messenger and Facebook for Android on your device.

This Facebook Home App is currently available on certain devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Note II, HTC One X and HTC One X+.

2. MP3 InCall Recorder & Voice

Personally, I love free apps that gets things done the way I want. I Have seen few Tech geeks saying that InCall Recorder is one of the first call recording apps that works well, Yes! I agree with them for such free to install app. Some users report it works great, while others say it’s not compatible with their device. Research yourself by filtering the reviews on the Google Play to see what others are saying before you take the time to download it and try it out on your device.

Some interesting features are:

  1. Choose when to start recording and saving battery power and reduce size of the audio file.
  2. Choose to automatically recording all conversations interactions unattended.
  3. Quick start tape recorder creating high-quality audio.
  4. Lets you manage all the audio files conveniently and efficiently.
  5. You can choose where to place the recording start button.
  6. You can play, share, or add a note to each call recorded.

3.Gmail

Gmail is a dedicated application with email pushed automatically to your phone. Supports for multiple Gmail accounts, search and access synchronised messages when offline and other common features like label conversations from within the mobile app. Gmail is a no-brainer for email service on your phone.

The current Gmail update brought in sender images and the ability to click on sender images to select multiple emails in the conversation list.  I Consider this feature as superb way of implementing the checkboxes from the older Gmail app.
