As Google said, setting up Chromecast is very easy but not for everyone, well you don’t have to worry, Here’s how to setup your Google Chromecast and enjoy it with your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
First Plug it in:
This is simple to do; take your dongle and stick it into your HDMI port.
Wait: Chromecast dongle requires more power than an HDMI port alone is able to provide. Fine, you can handle this too, take the extra Micro-USB cable included in your package, you can then run this to either the included power adapter, or an available USB port on your TV. I suggest you use an available USB port to reduce cables around your TV.
Depending on the type and structure of your TV, Chromecast dongle may not fit well right in the space out around your TV’s HDMI input, well relax again you can handle this; Google includes a small HDMI extension cable that can easily be plugged into cramped inputs, they did all this to add extra flexibility for your setup.
Now, power on your TV and change input to the particular HDMI port. If you did things right you should see a short Chrome startup screen and an invitation to get started.
Next Step: Using your Mac go to the Google Chromecast page where you’ll find a download link for the Chromecast app. Once downloaded and installed follow few easy steps on Chromecast dongle setup on your home WiFi network and you are good to go!
